Somatic Exercises™️
Your body doesn’t have to achieve anything in order to change. It only needs to feel safe enough to let go.

Body work from within
Somatic Exercises™ – in short: body work from the inside out. The word “somatic” describes exactly that: the experience of the body as it is perceived from within, not how it looks from the outside. Unlike a classic workout, it’s not about building muscle or burning calories – it’s about listening to your body and gently finding your way from tense, stuck states back into calm and balance.
The basic idea behind it: stress and difficult experiences don’t only stay in the mind – they also settle in the body. This can show up in many different ways: in sleep problems, ongoing exhaustion, tension, a restless digestive system, or the feeling of not really being able to “switch off” mentally. Somatic Exercises™ invite you to tune in right here – with simple, often very gentle movement sequences that need no equipment and can support your inner balance in just a few minutes a day.
When stress settles in the body
The way back to safety
At its core, it’s about gently teaching the body again that it is safe – and accompanying it out of a constant “survival mode” back into a state where real rest becomes possible again.
My experience with Somatic Exercises™
Not every change begins with effort. Sometimes it begins with finally letting go.

Before I discovered Somatic Exercises™, I lived for many years with an acute, often chronically high level of stress – that constant underlying feeling of not really being safe. My body reacted the way it did: trembling, a sense of inner closing down, phases in which I didn’t feel able to communicate clearly with other people.
My starting point
What was missing
I practised a lot of yoga, and it helped me on many levels – but I noticed that the stored stress didn’t really want to leave my body. Over time, it became clear to me: for years, a lot of masculine principle had been active in my life – discipline, structure, endurance. What was missing was the balance to it: the feminine principle. For me, Somatic Exercises™ became the way to invite exactly that back in. This is about zero perfection. It’s not about doing an exercise “right”, but as imperfectly and as consciously lazy as possible – simply to reconnect with your own movement and to signal to the body, in its own language: you are safe.
Where it’s leading me
It was exactly these fine, often very subtle exercises that moved something in me that yoga alone hadn’t reached – in everyday life, my body began to feel safer. That touched me so deeply that I started the training right away. I’m currently in the middle of my teacher training with Liz Tenuto (The Workout Witch™) and will be certified in the coming months. As soon as that’s the case, I’d love to offer this practice in my own sessions – because I know from my own story what a difference it can make.
